U-BIX Corporation started selling office machines and related services in 1974. It has strategically partnered with Konica Minolta to distribute multi-function machines and production printers. U-BIX has grown to be the Philippines’ largest provider of integrated office systems and services as the company also distributes Riso digital duplicators and Okamura office furniture systems.
In 2007, U-BIX acquired Kodak Imaging Center from Kodak Philippines to expand its portfolio to outsourcing services solutions. Now renamed as U-BIX Imaging Center (UIC), the business unit has been providing integrated document management solutions to government agencies, financial institutions, hospitals, schools and multinational companies.
UIC has positioned its array of services to become an end-to-end records management solution from conversion of hard copy files and microfilm records to digital images through scanning and indexing. This is complemented by a document management system named DocuVu for fast, accurate and easy retrieval of digital images. To address offsite safekeeping and retention compliance of hard copy records, UIC has set up its own records storage facility in maintaining business documents to be secure and confidential from their digital capture to physical storage.
UIC is committed to strengthen its leadership to be the country’s preferred and trusted provider of document management solutions by continuously improving its business processes, embracing new technologies, upgrading its production machines, equipment and facilities, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
